Lawful Evil "Diabolical"
"Dominator"

A lawful evil [person] methodically takes what he wants within the limits of his code of conduct without regard for whom it hurts. He cares about tradition, loyalty, and order but not about freedom, dignity, or life. He plays by the rules but without mercy or compassion. He is comfortable in a hierarchy and would like to rule, but is willing to serve. He is loath to break promises, and is therefore very cautious about giving his word unless a bargain is clearly in his favour.

This reluctance comes partly from his nature and partly because he depends on order to protect himself from those who oppose him on moral grounds. Some lawful evil villains have particular taboos, such as not killing in cold blood (but having underlings do it) or not letting children come to harm (if it can be helped). They feel these personal morals put them above unprincipled villains.

Many lawful evil [people] use society and its laws for selfish advantages, exploiting the letter of the law over its spirit whenever it best suits their interests.

Some lawful evil people and creatures commit themselves to evil with a zeal like that of a crusader committed to good. Beyond being willing to hurt others for their own ends, they take pleasure in spreading evil as an end unto itself. They may also see doing evil as part of a duty to an evil deity or master.

Lawful evil is sometimes called "diabolical", because devils are the epitome of lawful evil. Other examples of lawful evil [people] include tyrants, corrupt officials, and mafia bosses.

Lawful evil is methodical, intentional, and frequently successful devotion to selfishness or evil itself.

Visited the Tsubaki Grand Shrine of America yesterday, meditated and purified myself in the waters. Talked with the priest, who was a joyful and balanced man.

I am still dealing with the long term impact, but I will be taking up Aiki-do again, and will convert to Shinto as a way of life. The ritual cleansing, purification and spiritualism appeal to me now that I have lost my faith in the old ways.

Both of my pet birds died unexpectedly last night. They are not replaceable, I feel weakend by the loss. I had a deep connection to my pets, who served me for many years. I will not even get to see the bodies.

Coffee
So… went and saw the 300.

I had to walk out at just about the point of the first battle.
I had been really looking forward to the movie; I had heard good reviews from so friends and bad reviews from some critics.
Even for a comic book movie, it was bad, too much narrative, not enough dialogue, No character development.

It did not make sense.
I know that comic books are not supposed to make sense and that some movies do not make sense and that is fine. However, this movie was pretentious and wanted so badly to be taken seriously as a guy movie and as a warrior movie.

It was like watching a beer commercial.
When I observed the opening part of the first battle with the Spartans standing in a line pushing back the hordes, I was thinking of a football drill.

This movie was not about being a warrior to me it was not about soldiering. It was about gratuitousness. It was about underwear model supermen making rhetoric-filled speeches about freedom, soldiering and combat.

The movie was so over the top that it would not even fit in a role playing game. It was a very poor blending of fantasy, historical fiction and modern elements that left a sour taste in my mouth.

One of my biggest problems is why the king of the supermen, who shun and discard the weak or malformed children would even bother to ask advice or reply his plans to the malformed priests. Why where the malformed priests there and why would the King of the supermen even ask for blessing? Why would anyone? Tradition is the reason given… well honestly if you are going to fuck up history as bad as this movie did tradition is a shitty reason to have anything exist.

I know if I was a god and some inbred, cankerous Nosferatu motherfucker tried to call himself a priest in my service… I think that would have to be lighting bolt… or if we are talking about Apollo (who would have probably been the oracle the Spartans would have visited) some nice flaming arrows.

I felt a more powerful impact from the scene in We were Soldiers when Sam Elliot’s character is holding high ground with a pistol than I did with any scene of this movie.

In that sense I can think of so many movies that portrayed the warrior path profession of arms, brotherhood and honor in a better way.

And what the hell was with the 100 meter deep pit in the center of the village with the perfect stone all the way down it. More stone and work went into building that “well” than in the entire city and who throws dead bodies into their water supply? And how the hell do they get water out of the pit?

19th-Mar-2007 09:22 am - The spider
Creation
There is a spider that lives in the window sill of my girlfriends bathrooom.

Last night I went to the bathroom and the spider spoke to me.

"I said no, I am not going to kill you. But I am not the master of this house."

This morning I went into the bathroom.

"Have you come to kill me?" The spider said.
"I am not the master of the house." I replied.
"You see and hear me." The spider said.
"Yes, you are a small spider, I could crush you with a pinch, but I am not here to kill you. Stay in the corner and eat the bugs." I replied.

I then told [info]qos about the spider and she looked at me funny.

But I figured I would write the conversation here, I have lots of these conversations with spirits and this was a simple enough one.

Lyrics - Maynard James Keenan

Pure as we begin
Pure as we come in
Pure as we begin
Pure by will alone

Pure as we begin
Here we have a stone
Gather, place, [erase, so / a razor]
Shelter turned to home

Pure as we begin
Here we have a stone
Throw to stay the stranger
Swore to crush his bones

Move by will alone

Spark becomes a flame
Flame becomes a fire
Light the way or warm this
Hope we occupy

Spark becomes a flame
Flame becomes a fire
Forge a blade to slay the stranger
Take whatever we desire

Move by will alone

Pure as we begin

Pure as we begin
Move by will alone
Leave as we come in
Pure as light, return to one

Move by will alone
